Description

This workshop examines the role of the designer as a facilitator of large-scale change and the messy and often political realities that emerge from this work. Through hands on activities and case studies, we will explore how design methods, such as co-design and prototyping, are being used at scale to transform organizations and to reimagine service systems that are only possible when designers attend to relationships and conflicts.

Meet the speaker

Chris Ferguson

Chris is the founder of Bridgeable and adjunct professor at the University of Toronto. Chris has lead multiple design projects that directly address organizational and service-system level change, including transformative projects in the healthcare and transit sectors. He writes and presents regularly on Design, including teaching design at the Master's in Law programme and to business students at the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management. Chris is the co-founder of the Canadian Chapter of the Service Design Network and on the advisory boards for the Global LEAP Dialogues, MaRS Technology Procurement by Co-design and The World Design Summit.
